Designed to LEED standards, the aquatics facility is part of the Community Knowledge Campus. It connects to the Coca-Cola Centre, St. Joseph High School, and Gymniks Gymnastic Club.

With opportunities for every level of athlete and guest, the multigenerational aquatics center complements the rest of the complex.

This $13 million public aquatics facility includes five bodies of water in one space. Unlike many aquatics centers, the competition and leisure areas are not separated. Amenities include a 54-meter competition pool, a 25-meter program pool, family and adults-only hot tubs, a lazy river, water slides, the Aquaterasaurus Land children’s play area, and a stationary wave machine.

Alberta is known as an important source of fossilized dinosaur remains, and the center’s design incorporates this rich history, featuring T. rex and other notable dinosaurs.
