Formerly the Peabody Hotel, the upscale Hyatt Regency Orlando underwent a significant expansion, including the addition of a tower. The multifeatured aquatic area was meant to entertain tourists, as well as serve businesspeople in need of relaxation after a day at the convention center across the street. In addition to the outdoor pools, fountains at the hotel and convention center entrances feature a multiple-weir design to reflect the architecture of the new hotel tower. All waterfeatures have LED lighting and programmable show fountain elements.
