St. James, Mo.

1 MIN READ

In undertaking a $1.7 million renovation project the city of Saint James, Mo., created a modern efficient facility that reimagined an exisiting pool.

The 19,660 square feet of aquatic space now offers something for every age. It includes: an open flume slide, family slide, tot slide, interactive tot play equipment, shallow water sprays, themed floatables, underwater hydrotherapy bench, a diving board, shaded deck space, and room for a variety of classes. The bathhouse and associated buildings were also renovated.

The new design emphasizes the character of the surrounding park, water recreation for all age groups, safety, efficiency, operational simplification and the lifecycle of the facility.

The swimming pool is located in the historic Saint James Park, which was formed by The James Foundation. The Foundation also owns and operates the Maramec Springs Park and the James Memorial Library in the region.
