CPSC Issues Safety Warning

It may be time to reconsider those water-walking balls. These relatively new aquatic novelties that turn people into human-sized hamsters could be dangerous, according to a report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

CPSC cites a risk of drowning or suffocation for users, due to the fact that there’s a limited amount of air inside the ball, and no “emergency escape.” So far there have only been two reports of injuries, but the balls are already banned in some states.
