The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals has upgraded its CHTT Certified Hot Tub Technician course and launched it online.

Aimed at spa and hot tub service and repair professionals, the certification is given to those who successfully complete the course. Regional trade-show attendees may participate live on-site courses at some of these events, or professionals can take a self-paced online version that incorporates video, interactive exercises and quizzes.

Professionals can purchase the full course or individual modules covering specific topics, such as water chemistry, safety and health, electrical systems and others.

The course joins APSP’s Certified Maintenance Specialist and Professional Pool & Spa Operator courses in the new online format. Two others are slated to launch in the format in July: the Certified Service Technician, and the Pool & Spa Construction course.

The program was upgraded as part of APSP’s $1.3 million investment in overhauling its entire educational catalogue.

For the initiative, APSP contracted with PSN parent company Hanley Wood to deliver the certification courses online.
