PlayCore, a provider of educational play and recreation solutions, has added Alta Enterprises, supplier of custom swimming pool covers and automatic reel systems, to its family of brands.

The Chattanooga, Tenn.-based company believes the addition of Alta Enterprises will expand its offerings in the commercial aquatics market, according to Roger Posacki, president and CEO of PlayCore. Alta Enterprises, based in Missoula, Mont., has products in more than 400 universities and K-12 schools across North America. The firm’s swimming pool cover also is known for its energy efficiency. According to officials, the average customer experiences a 35% to 40% reduction in the facility’s natatorium heating bill.
